Chris’s Story
Hobby Turned Trade
Chris studied computer science at the University of Washington before joining companies like Microsoft and Pixar. However, he found himself building mobile apps in his spare time—which got him thinking about doing it full-time. Once he heard the business plan and saw the opportunity to be involved at Stockpile, Chris couldn’t turn the opportunity down.

What Chris Does
Engineering
Chris helped build Stockpile’s apps from scratch, so he’s more than familiar with upgrades in the pipeline. As a result, he comes in earlier than most to take advantage of quiet ideation time. When Chris isn’t building new features or attending design reviews, he walks through bugs with colleagues to iron out kinks in either system.

“I’ve learned to expect what I could never predict. There are projects that come in all the time that push my skills, even those outside strictly engineering.”

“Be open to learn new things and take on projects in areas you’re not an expert in. That’s what pushes you and keeps your work life fresh.”
