McKenna started her career in media sales, selling commercial spots for television and radio programs. She soon began to feel stagnant in her position, though. One day she met a Spiceworks employee who spoke so highly of the company and its culture that she decided to switch to IT sales—and applied the next day.
McKenna’s days consist of many meetings and phone calls. She speaks with potential and current advertisers, helping them understand the benefits of getting in touch with the company’s global IT audience. In between meetings, she interacts with different internal departments to brainstorm the best campaign ideas for each of her many clients.
