Jaquan attended James Madison University, where he majored in tourism and hospitality. He heard about Southern Management Corporation while working for a large chain hotel, and took a position in one of the company’s leasing offices. He loved the customer-facing aspect of his position, and eventually made the decision to switch to the hotel division.
Regardless of whether Jaquan is working a morning, mid, or night shift, the first thing he does when he arrives at the hotel is check on his team. After ensuring they have every tool they need to succeed, he focuses his attention on guests. Jaquan solves issues that arise—and solicits feedback from guests upon their departure.
