Tim studied computer science at Stanford University. As an amateur musician, he always dreamed of combining his technical background with his passion for audio. When he came across SoundHound in 2006, the company was still comprised of only eight people. Tim felt an immediate connection and knew he wanted to be part of the team.
Tim implemented the core music recognition technologies behind SoundHound’s famous "orange button." He has also contributed to the core voice recognition algorithms and server-side systems powering the Houndify platform. People can often find Tim sketching out algorithms on a whiteboard, or focusing on adding great engineers to the team.
