Kidd always dreamed of being on television, even giving pretend news updates to the walls of his home as a child. To cut his teeth in the media industry, he started off working in radio at age 16 and stayed in the field for another 20 years before jumping at the opportunity to work as the entertainment reporter for Good Morning Washington.
Kidd comes in every morning around 4:30 AM to start putting together the day’s entertainment news for Good Morning Washington. He gives an hourly on-air update before moving over to News Channel 8 to host Let’s Talk Live, a daily lifestyle show. When his daily on-air duties are complete, Kidd works on Circa.com’s Great American Pop Report to wrap up the day’s big entertainment stories.
“We have great managers who are always accessible and open to new ideas. When you have that kind of atmosphere, you’re able to be creative, do what you’re best at doing, and be rewarded for it in the end.”
“Everybody’s excited to be here. We have a lot of fun, and our show’s successful because we have fun and we all get along—we laugh a lot. I was just on vacation for a week and a half, and I was actually excited to come back to work.”
