Omosola first heard of Shopify as a computer science student at Stanford—she had interned with companies using Shopify’s products. While attending the Grace Hopper tech conference, Omosola ran into a Shopify recruiter who persuaded her to interview with the company. Omosola saw how much she stood to learn by working at Shopify—moving to Canada, she realized, wasn’t so far-fetched.

Omosola arrives around 9 AM and grabs breakfast—courtesy of the in-house culinary team—before sitting down at her desk. To keep apprised of developments in the risk community, Omosola reads up on the latest news pertaining to her job. Omosola enjoys the flexibility of her position—if she doesn’t have any meetings, she devotes her entire day to coding.
