After gaining her master’s in English, Lisa started her career in tech, gaining experience primarily as a digital product manager. In love with the industry, but wanting to work closer to people, Lisa was attracted to Shopify, where she’s been able to treat culture as a product—to experiment with, iterate on, and improve.

Working with her team of Culture Specialists, Lisa creates and curates a culture that reflects both Shopify’s values and its employees’ needs. Devising everything from Shopify’s internal messaging to its epic holiday parties and annual all-hands summit, Lisa is responsible for listening to employees—introverts and extraverts alike—to ensure everyone has their needs met.
