From Camper To Employee
As a high school student, Jessica was lucky enough to attend the nursing camp at Seattle Children’s Hospital. It was then that she decided this is what she wanted to do with her life. After earning her nursing degree at Carroll College, Jessica came back to Seattle Children’s Hospital to begin her career.

What Jessica Does
Circulating Nurse
Jessica spends her days with surgical patients. From checking them in and meeting with their families to delivering them to the postanesthesia care unit, Jessica is with each patient from start to finish. She also prepares and cleans the operating room, gathers the necessary supplies and equipment, and assists the surgical team during procedures.

“The operating room really relies on teamwork. I feel welcomed by all of my fellow co-workers—we really are just one big happy family back there.”

“Seattle Children’s Hospital is unique in how we approach patient care. We really focus on safety and providing the best care, but we do it in a really fun and friendly way for the kids.”
