News & Fun
When it comes to office traditions, the Newsroom has quite a few characters creating unique company customs. One lively employee in particular comes up with customized songs for any occasion, including birthdays, farewells, and sometimes, even the leisurely Wednesday afternoon. Most recently—in an effort to connect outside the office—Thirsty Thursdays have also been added to the roster.

What Kristen Does
Deputy Managing Editor
For Kristen—who oversees the Sunday front page and heads up the office initiative to implement digital first—days are often filled with multiple meetings. She begins her day in the Newsroom before getting together one-on-one with editors and reporters. Kristen goes over their personal projects and helps them incorporate extra technology like videos, slideshows, and quick blog posts into their stories.
