When the supercomputer company Shane worked for jumped to $20 million in sales, the CFO left to start a candle company—and Shane followed. Researching candle wax and biodegradable plastics, Shane earned an MBA and founded his own company, Divert. Coming to NYC seeking seed funding for a new venture, Shane collided with Samsung NEXT—and it’s made everything easier than he could have imagined.
As the CEO and co-founder of Lotik—creators of a wireless water sensor that clamps onto pipes to measure water-flow—Shane leads a talented team of people, a team that Samsung NEXT’s HR helped him build. Having founded a company in the past, Shane has been blown away by the brilliant support provided by Samsung NEXT professionals while learning from fellow EIRs.
“The EIR program creates a balance, providing a corporate structure and resources while giving you the flexibility to create your vision on your own.”
“The resources here are absolutely incredible—there’s a CTO here to help with complex problems, an HR staff to help build a great team, and a financial staff. They take care of the back-end, so you can focus on the vision of the company and the product.”
