Machiko earned a degree in comparative literature from UCLA before starting a career in journalism, but she then decided she was interested in software engineering and completed a web development course. After seeing how Reformation was helping to revolutionize the clothing industry, she knew it would be the perfect place to take her engineering career to the next level.
As a software engineer at Reformation, Machiko works on all of Reformation's websites and apps—from the eCommerce site to internal retail, POS, warehouse, and manufacturing apps. She’s constantly learning new programming languages and working on her skills with a bunch of challenging upcoming projects.
"We're always trying to change the status quo in the way we make clothes and in the way we work—we’re really laid back, but we like to get stuff done.”
"My favorite part about this job is knowing that when I come to work every morning, I’m going to figure out how to solve a problem. I get really excited about figuring out how things work and how to make it better.”
