With a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, Kenny has gained experience in industries focused on designing fluid dynamics and high-volume electro-mechanical devices. When he learned about a Research and Development opportunity at Rain Bird, Kenny was excited by the chance to join an innovative brand that has a direct impact on the world through its products.
R&D is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and Kenny and his team members enjoy the challenge to innovate using various methods. Building most of the prototypes in-house means it’s hands-on engineering. Kenny spends his days molding, extruding, assembling, and testing prototypes, helping Rain Bird innovate to irrigate in environmentally friendly ways, supporting the Intelligent Use Of Water philosophy.
“Rain Bird gives engineers a lot of creative freedom to think outside the box. No idea is crazy here at Rain Bird.”
“One of my favorite events is the annual corporate achievement awards. We recognize employees who have filed patents or are receiving patents, as well as give awards to people who exemplify Rain Bird values and have exceeded their goals.”
