Melody aimed for a career in medicine, but found a corporate environment fit her lifestyle better. This new direction also connected her to someone who ran the nonprofit consulting firm that eventually fused with Raffa—and Melody came with the acquisition. The step also enabled her to complete an MBA and divide her talents between people operations and finance.
Aside from handling two different roles, Melody also serves on one of three boards at Raffa. Her days are packed tight with accounting tasks and finding the right executives for nonprofit clients, but she still has the flexibility to attend school performances for her kids. This split-duty schedule also means Melody is a master of project management.
