Working in fundraising wasn’t a likely path for a commercial fisherman like Brendan, but when it came time for a career change, Public Outreach is where he found himself. A friend introduced him to the company, and from his very first interview, Brendan knew this place was really something special.
The amazing charities that Public Outreach supports can’t do their meaningful work without the vital funds Brendan’s team raises. That’s why growth is one of his main objectives. He loves developing new talent and is extremely proud of creating a new five-hour work shift that opens up opportunities for a whole new demographic of potential fundraisers.
“I’ve been here for six years, and I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. It’s hands down the best job I’ve ever had, and I love the idea of giving that same opportunity to other people.”
“At Public Outreach, we’re all in this together. We may have different positions and roles, but we’re all working in the same direction, which really makes me feel like a part of a team rather than just a cog in a wheel.”
