Poppy's long and storied career in political journalism began by serving members of Congress in communications roles. By 2006, she was working for Gallup Inc., and transitioned to an Executive Director position at POLITICO Pro in 2010. Poppy went on to Atlantic Media, rising to the top spot of Publisher and President at the National Journal—before ultimately returning to POLITICO to take the helm in 2016.
Core to Poppy's role is planning out the next 10 years at POLITICO, generating an optimal strategy to push the limits of political journalism and create engaging content for readers across America. In her day-to-day at the Washington, DC office, Poppy meets with team leads from Communications, Revenue, HR, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and more, making sure everyone is looking ahead to the same future.
