Michael studied marketing at Rutgers University and started his career at Philips Lighting in the Customer Service Department, where he worked for two years. Philips Lighting supported his return to school to pursue an MBA in supply chain finance through the company’s tuition reimbursement program. Equipped with his advanced degrees, Michael now serves as a Consumer Channel Czar for the company.
Michael’s duties revolve around the needs of the day. Currently, he and his team are focusing on normalizing fill-rate misses in the consumer channel. They do this by reviewing orders that failed the fill-rate agreement with customers in order to improve on inventory and reduce future expenditures.
“One quality people need to be successful at Philips Lighting is to be energetic. There’s always room for improvement. If you’re energetic, you’ll be able to find those opportunities and grow with the company.”
“What I love most about the Philips Lighting culture is the openness. We have an open and flexible working space that fosters collaboration and facilitates supportive, open relationships with our managers.”
