Evan studied business administration with a focus on finance and international business at Drexel University. He began his career as a consultant in the financial services industry and even spent time working in publishing, as well as IT. Evan worked in a few different roles between finance and business transformation—before bringing his career to new heights at Philips Lighting.
Evan begins his day checking his emails and reviewing the previous day’s sales to help the Sales Team understand the company’s business drivers and identify future growth opportunities. Since his primary objective is increasing the company’s business value, much of Evan’s time revolves around developing strategic and financial targets—and ensuring business decisions are financially sound.
“What gets me excited to come into work every day is the chance to innovate. Working in the finance organization means that I’m empowered to innovate our business processes to make them leaner and meaner—and get the work done.”
“Philips Lighting is a strong supporter of professional development. I’ve been studying for my CMA, which is a certified managerial accountant designation. They’ve supported me with tuition reimbursement, were flexible with my class schedule, and helped me pass the first part of my exam.”
