When Cor first graduated from university and passed his exams to work for Philips Lighting in the Netherlands, many of his friends were surprised he intended to work for a company that was, at the time, relatively unknown. Now, nearly 20 years later, Cor’s is proud to serve in high-level position for the top innovator in the world of lighting.
Cor focuses on boosting sales in the public and sports lighting segments within the Benelux market—Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. He oversees a team of 13 people, and together, they aim to bring the Philips methodology of lighting to the urban infrastructure and sports sectors. Though Cor primarily works in sales, he also dabbles in implementing new marketing strategies.
“My favorite project was when we provided products for a couple of stadiums throughout the Netherlands—it was a next-level experience for the spectators and players. We brought in new colors and sounds so that the total experience of a stadium was theatrical.”
