Wared was close when he decided to study biomedical science in college—but experience proved he was more interested in metrics than the medicine. After completing a few degrees in enterprise bioscience, Wared had already become the CEO of another company. In 2013, he went on to co-found Parrot Analytics with scientists and media moguls following his lead.
Though Wared sets the vision for the entire company, he imagines himself to be more of a facilitator—since his main goal is rallying top-notch team members around the company’s mission with respect to those employees’ careers. When he isn’t helping bring new people aboard, Wared helps television companies realize untapped markets to demonstrate how powerful Parrot can be.
“I think people need autonomy and purpose in their work—so we try to treat all employees as equally capable partners.”
“My personal goal is to create a culture where people get to grow in each of their roles—I see my role really as a facilitator and I pave the path for people to achieve their own goals and align them with what we're trying to do as a team.”
