Marta studied organizational communication and women’s studies at California State University. She started her career in entertainment, then honed her skills in B2B and B2C Marketing for a variety of entertainment and lifestyle brands in tech. She joined Pandora's first Sales Marketing Team, then led the Events Team by launching Pandora’s national B2C live music events and B2B sponsorships. Next, Marta moved to the HR Team, leading the Employee Experience Team to developing Pandora’s Employment Brand, Employee Experience, and Giving Back Program.
No two days are the same for Marta, but she usually collaborates with teams across the company on a variety of projects. The day is a constant pivot—one meeting might be focused on copy for the career site, the next on identifying artists to bring to one of Pandora’s sponsored Little Kids Rock Music Programs, another leading a brainstorming session with her team around programming for Women’s Leadership Month.
“I feel incredibly lucky. I pinch myself all the time that I get to work for a music company like Pandora and sometimes I think, ‘Is this really my job? Is this really my life?’ and I think a lot of employees feel that way too.”
“Music is infused into every aspect of our office. You’ll see that we have artist-inspired conference rooms and the reason for that is so employees feel connected to our mission in the physical space in which they work.”
