David planned to be a doctor, so following the pre-med path in college was a no-brainer—until a few business classes swayed him to think beyond the ER. After officially making the switch, David took a job working on a mobile app for doctors, and the door to a career in technology had been opened. That’s the path that led him to PagerDuty.
After David attends a morning stand-up meeting, he chats with at least one customer a day about current needs or use cases. When he isn’t on discovery calls, running market analyses, or organizing the next monthly Hack Day, David guides the Engineering Team through two-week sprint periods to build or improve features—like adding better functionality to an alerts table inside PagerDuty.
