Optoro fosters community through sponsored events, including holiday parties, a beach day, a BLINQO de Mayo party—named after its eCommerce site BLINQ.com—and OptoroFest. There are also more casual events, such as game nights and happy hours. Optoro is deeply involved in the DC community, often hosting meet-ups, planning rock climbing expeditions, or organizing community service initiatives.
Optoro nourishes the growth of its employees with a variety of professional development opportunities, including a management training class. During this series, new managers learn everything from meeting facilitation and upward management, to how to conduct one-on-ones and give feedback. All corporate employees, not just managers, have access to professional development budget and tools.
