One Acre Fund's offices are located in NYC, in Rubengera, Rwanda, & in urban & rural locations around the world
One Acre Fund in the World
One Acre Fund’s amazing impact on global farming communities was recently recognized when co-founder Eric Pohlman was honored with the 2015 Norman Borlaug Award for Field Research and Application. The award is given to researchers under age 40 doing inspiring things in the global food security field—which Pohlman demonstrated through his work in transforming subsistence agriculture in rural Rwanda.
To celebrate One Acre Fund’s global vision, each conference room in the NYC office is named for a place the company works—Iringa, Zomba, Kamuli, Muramvya, and Bungoma represent One Acre Fund’s presence in Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Burundi, and Kenya. Bungoma is also unofficially known as the "bean bag room," and the team loves to kick back on the room’s two cozy bean bag chairs.
