Seemingly from birth, Tanya has possessed gifts of curiosity and conversation. At an early age, she dreamed of becoming a star. Not just any star, mind you–we're talking the next Oprah. She set her sights on a career in broadcasting–but not surprisingly, Tanya's curiosity got the best of her, and her aspirations for broadcasting led her to a successful career in journalism, and finally to NPR. Star power indeed–Idris Elba, are you listening?
What Tanya Does
Editor, Digital News
Tanya kicks off every day with a 9:15 AM News Meeting to discuss breaking news of the day. Working closely with NPR's multimedia and interactive design teams, it’s her job to create the content that’ll go on NPR’s website, drawing both on NPR's award-winning radio shows and on original web-only ideas. The shows on the air get straight to the meat of the content—but online, she gets to have a bit more fun with multimedia presentations.
