Ryan’s Story
An Intern Transition
Ryan studied flight testing and aerospace engineering at Florida Technical University. In his final year there, he participated in an intern program in Northrop Grumman’s Stress Engineering Department. After graduation, he was asked to join the company full time, and a few weeks in, he approached his manager about a possible transition in the department—and was given the go-ahead.

What Ryan Does
Loads & Dynamics Engineer
Ryan enjoys arriving at the office early in the morning for a little quiet coding time to himself. After the rest of the Engineering Team arrives, he steps into the daily stand-up to discuss priority tasks and any ongoing issues. Throughout the day, he collaborates with aerodynamicists and stress engineers to combine separate projects into one system.
