Praddy received his master's degree in computer science from New York University. In his last semester of school, he attended a hackathon sponsored by New York Life. A few months later, Praddy received an invitation to attend a hackathon New York Life hosted as part of the company's recruitment efforts. Based on his education credentials and his performance that day, Praddy was offered a position with the company.
Praddy begins the morning in a stand-up meeting with his team. Together, they discuss current and upcoming projects and delegate duties for the day. After that, it's heads down at his desk developing applications, gathering data, and running through proof-of-concept tests that assist New York Life in implementing efficient processes.
