All About The Animals
Growing up, the Aquarium was one of Kelly’s favorite destinations. After studying biology in college, Kelly interned at several animal welfare and rescue organizations. Once she moved to Baltimore, finding work at the Aquarium was only natural. Though Kelly didn’t have teaching experience prior to her current role, she has since fallen in love with being an educator.

Kelly gets to the Aquarium at 8 AM, just in time for the Guest Engagement Team’s morning huddle. She and other Aquarium educators discuss and prepare for the events at the Aquarium that day. After the huddle, Kelly rotates through different parts of the building, educating guests and leading interactive activities.

“Some animals that we have in our oceans totally blow my mind. We have to conserve them and understand how important they are.”
