Corey’s Story
Natural Born Leader
Corey worked in the restaurant industry before changing careers. He found work leading walking tours around Baltimore as a Heritage and Culture Guide—and he loved it. Recognizing his presence and public speaking skills, the Aquarium hired Corey to lead the dolphin shows. In his current role, which is sales-oriented, Corey continues to utilize his innate charisma.

What Corey Does
Events Specialist
Corey arrives at work at 8:30 AM—and he hits the ground running right away. In the morning, he oversees intake of guests wanting to book the Aquarium for weddings and events. After lunch, he often hosts site visits—for him, interacting with Aquarium guests and educators is the best part of his job.

“There are a lot of challenges from an events perspective, so it helps to be customer-oriented—a people person. People like me, from Baltimore, are a chatty breed.”
