After studying industrial engineering at the University of Michigan, Brian realized he didn’t want to be an engineer. Instead, he took off to India to consult for a software company—which introduced him to computer science and services. Once he moved back to the U.S., Brian moved from Facebook to a small startup before landing at Movoto as an email marketing manager.
Brian bikes to work, then checks engagement and conversion statistics before sorting JIRA tickets from his team in China. Since they’re dispersed across timezones, Brian spends the majority of his morning commenting on or adjusting projects. He also works with the Design Team to brainstorm new ideas, analyze competitors, and improve general product offerings—with an emphasis on conversion.
