Julie’s Story
A Tinkerer
Julie has always been a tinkerer. After college, she worked for Habitat For Humanity and found new ways to streamline the organization’s donor base on Microsoft Access. After moving to the Bay Area during the first dot com boom, Julie worked as a computer programmer and then as a teacher. Her desire to apply her technical skillset in a more collaborative fashion eventually led her to Mosaic.

What Julie Does
Manager, Back Office Engineering
Julie’s day-to-day responsibilities combine technical aspects of engineering with lots of cross-functional collaboration. She likes that her role is a healthy mix of individual and group-based work. Collaborating with different departments and teams across the company keeps Julie on her toes. The company’s maxim—that more can be accomplished together—resonates with her.

“I love Mosaic’s values. The company emphasizes transparency and compliance, but also the importance of courageous creativity—trying something that hasn’t been done before.”

“I never feel siloed here—I always feel as if my voice is valued. I love the collaboration. A spirit of wanting to make the world a better place abides at Mosaic.”
