Being a part of an organization voted one of the best places to work in Denver—for four consecutive years—is something that fills Evony with pride. In fact, it was this notable reputation that drew her in to work for the Mental Health Center of Denver, one of the smartest decisions she’s ever made.
When Evony started at the Center, she was hired as a clinician. It was through the support of her supervisor and co-workers that she was able to obtain her clinical license. One of her favorite recent projects is the trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy model she uses to work with children who have suffered trauma.
“What gets me excited to come to work every day is the opportunity I have to impact so many lives and instill hope—and let others know that they can get better, recover, and lead a life of well-being.”
“I’m given the opportunity here to work with people every single day. I meet children, families, couples, and individuals, and I think that’s a real privilege, so I really just hope to I’m able to help them.”
