Nathan graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Colorado. Always wanting to make a difference in the world, he thought a career in the nonprofit sector would be a great place to take his skills and passion. A friend told him about an opportunity at MDA, which he was thrilled to apply for.
Working in a fundraising role can be challenging, but Nathan takes this challenge head on. He is proud that he's been able to bring his past experience to MDA, where he helps to secure major corporate sponsorships for the organization. Nathan loves that what he does helps MDA's patients live unlimited.
“Working at MDA is not your traditional ‘sit in the office’ job. You’re out in the community, and you’re connecting with people, which is awesome, because there’s never a dull day. There’s always something going on.”
“I was able to go to summer camp on my second day at MDA. It was a super eye-opening experience and really gave me a lot of motivation to do my best possible job—to bring in as much funding for the organization as possible so we can send more kids to camp.”
