McKinsey is an international company with over 100 offices located around the world, each with a distinct personality. Though the McKinsey adherence to results never wavers, each office has its own culture to fit its preferences, its clients, and the industries it works with. In New York City, the office is sleek and modern, while the Stamford team prefers a cabin-like feel with cozy fireplace accompaniments.
At the end of each McKinsey project, teams like to commemorate their good times and inside jokes with a team cartoon. Team memories are compiled in a spreadsheet and sent to the office’s resident illustrator, who combines them into a clever and snarky team cartoon. Tradition has it that the cartoon is sent out to the team at the end of the project—and also framed and put on every team member’s desk.
