Cherilyn developed an interest in hospitality through hotel school and internships—beginning her career at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Wanting a corporate viewpoint on global hospitality, Cherilyn obtained a marketing and sales MBA. Marriott International’s reputation for putting employee’s first and Cherilyn’s interest in ownership made applying to Marriott's Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Consumer Services Team a no brainer—and her introduction to its entrepreneurial culture was welcoming, supportive, and energizing.

Having the ability to work cross-departmentally, Cherilyn incorporates a multi-perspective approach throughout her marketing efforts—working with Brand Marketing, Creative Content, Buzz Marketing, and Digital Teams within Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Consumer Services and with PR groups externally. Her work pace is exciting and unpredictable—occasionally traveling out of state at the spur of the moment to manage Marriott International's promotional photo-shoots or public-speaking engagements for the Executive Team.
