A Virginia Tech computer science graduate, Chris initially launched his career as a Network Engineer for the federal government—but eventually settled into a non-technical State Department position. Craving the creative outlet that computer science provided, Chris became a MakerSquare student. While rediscovering his roots, he developed a passion for education—and joined the team.

Preferring an early start, Chris arrives in the office around 8:30 AM. Utilizing his software engineering background, Chris occasionally spends parts of his day constructing code. Regularly, he meets with students and staff to evaluate and execute career goals. Chris remains accessible and active—whether he’s mopping office floors or pitching in on team projects.
