Throughout her life, Amy has always believed in the importance of engaged communities. Prior to joining Lighthouse Labs in 2015, Amy studied political science at Wilfrid Laurier University—and earned a Certificate of Public Administration at Humber College. She then had a few years of experience in the marketing and community-building industries before finding a home at Lighthouse Labs.
Amy is focused on creating, growing, and fostering the internal and external community of developers in the Lighthouse Labs atmosphere. She attracts new students through outreach initiatives and strives to bridge the gap between the current student developers and the technology community at large. She is also responsible for the beloved full-stack pancake Fridays.
