Jackie’s Story
Getting Into Start-ups
When Jackie graduated from college, she already knew she wanted to work at a start-up. But there are tons of start-ups out there—especially in the San Francisco area. Where do you even start? Jackie did her research to find companies that were well-funded by venture capitalists, and threw her efforts there. That landed Jackie her first job as a Product Manager at Location Labs, and it was while she was there that she discovered Kiva.

What Jackie Does
Product Manager
A Product Manager is like a node: Jackie connects the engineers, fundraisers, marketers, the quality assurance team, and external partners and users together to get projects up and off the ground. Her days are spent coordinating between all the teams she’s working with, helping everyone to prioritize the right things to get all the current projects done, and get the next ones planned.
