KIND to the World
A MOVEMENT IN THE MAKING
Founder & CEO Daniel Lubetzky created KIND with the belief that kindness can change the world. He was inspired by his dad, who survived the Holocaust thanks in part to the kindness of strangers. Today, the company upholds this legacy in a variety of ways, including celebrating and inspiring acts of kindness—big and small.
What KIND Does
The first KIND bar was introduced in 2004, creating a new healthy snacking category and launching one of the fastest-growing snack companies in the United States. KIND now makes more than 60 snacks "with ingredients you can see & pronounce®". While its offerings have developed over time, its mission has remained the same—make the world a little kinder, one snack and one act at a time.
A TEAM OF OWNERS
KIND seeks to be a different kind of company—one that believes there's more to business than just profit, and where attributes like compassion, humility and humanity are celebrated. Ownership is a core part of KIND’s culture. Team members are empowered to take initiative, go above and beyond whenever possible, and hold each other accountable. To further instill this mentality, KIND offers all full-time team members equity—an opportunity to become a stakeholder in the company.
“I love that I'm able to bring KIND to life in my local community. I'm delighted to be known as the ‘KIND girl’ and wear the KIND logo with pride. It’s very rare to find a career where you’re not only able to represent a product and brand that people love, but also help bring kindness to those who need it most.”
“We strive to operate in a transparent manner, and that starts with how we treat our team. We prize open, honest, and frank communication. Everyone–no matter their title or tenure–is encouraged to be straightforward and to constantly seek feedback. This helps us put our best foot forward in everything we do.”
