Having worked in the restaurant industry previously, Brandon was familiar with HotSchedules. A friend of his got a job there and had great things to say about the company, so when Brandon was contemplating his next career move while on a biking trip around Iceland, he decided to email his friend and ask if HotSchedules was hiring. Fortunately, they were, and he landed the job.
If it’s a product release week, Brandon manages a list of tickets and drafts the release notes about each one. When it’s not a release week, he updates the company's internal network so that all of HotSchedules’ employees are kept in the loop regarding new product features. Brandon also creates documents for customers who required custom development—translating the complex technicalities of their creation into a language that’s easy to understand.

“You can’t complain about the location. One of the most common images of Austin is the 360 bridge and that’s what I look at every single day. It’s neat that we basically have that in our backyard.”
