Hagen’s break came when he worked for a clothing retailer as a traveling salesman. The position more than refined his communication skills, so when a HomeAdvisor competitor was hiring, Hagen took the bait. However, he slowly realized the prospects he talked to knew of a better alternative—and he wanted to go where the action was too.

Hagen’s mornings begin around 8:30 AM. After getting the scoop in his team’s huddle, he starts prospecting by phone. Building connections encompasses the majority of his day—though Hagen often arranges afternoon meetings to secure new partnerships in person. His main goal is building HomeAdvisor’s pipeline and working closely with business owners to achieve mutual goals.
