Ying’s Story
East Coast Transplant
Ying studied architecture on the East Coast, but craved the West Coast’s fast pace. After she graduated, Ying searched for the best architectural jobs in California and found herself at HED. Though her first day at work was also her first day in LA, her new team's friendly guidance made her feel right at home.

What Ying Does
Architecture & Design
Ying works across several disciplines at HED to hammer out the exact details of a project. Most of her time at HED has been spent working on large-scale developments—which often come with chaotic plans. Luckily, Ying loves to work through those problems. The ultimate reward? Sitting in client meetings and hearing the praise for the work she did on their projects.

“Being able to explore and do different things every day gets me excited. I never do a task just to do it—I try to approach everything like a learning opportunity.”
