While studying economic theory at the University of Southern California, Vlad worked at various startups before moving to New York. He worked at a design firm for about two years before a friend at Hearst referred him to a contractor role in product. Vlad's abilities earned him a full-time role—and a promotion to Product Manager within his first year.
Vlad spends his days meeting with departments across the company. He sits with Engineering Teams to develop project scopes and with Business Teams to discuss project feasibility. He also checks in with Hearst’s editors and site directors to see how products can be improved from their end—and brings these insights back to the developers.
