After studying writing at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, Sara received a master’s in print and digital media from NYU. Five years after working in book publishing at Simon & Schuster and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Sara decided to switch to magazines. She soon snagged a product management position at Hearst Digital Media.
Sara’s days revolve around data management and migrations. She gathers requirements for data product roadmaps, writes user stories, and prioritizes data backlogs using agile methodologies. While orchestrating data transfers, Sara performs QA tests to ensure data integrity during migrations, and she coordinates with front-end developers to ensure the data is properly integrated within the new systems.
