With a lifelong passion for programming, Mike studied network security and administration at the Chubb Institute of Technology, and he obtained certificates in Javascript and mobile developing from NYU. Mike started his career in web development at companies like Vonage, and worked as a freelancer for 17 years before joining Hearst as Lead Engineer.

Mike’s days are spent both coding—in many languages—and peer-reviewing the code created by his team members. Mike helps to build the company’s content management system by contributing responsive templates for all of Hearst Magazines' websites using HTML, Javascript, PHP, Twig, and Sass—and sets up front-end unit testing as well.
