Growing up in a suburb of Chicago, Paul’s first job was popping corn at the local theater. He’s since come a long way, earning his bachelor’s in computer science at Aurora University before joining HCSC—where he’s been for over five years, and is currently pursuing a master’s in software engineering from DePaul.
Coming in around 8 AM, Paul starts each day with his team in a morning stand-up—going over blocks, issues, and tasks for the day. Dedicated to solving complex business problems to advance HCSC’s services and usability, Paul has worked on important projects, like improving HCSC’s mobile service, enabling users to access their accounts everywhere.
“We’ve had a lot of changes in the IT organization at HCSC, and they’ve all been positive. We’re moving closer to an open concept, giving developers the opportunity to solve a problem the way they think is best.”
“HCSC does a great job of being inclusive. We offer lots of opportunities for nonprofit and charity work—along with recognition for doing so.”
