Originally coming to the U.S. as a student from India, Aparna earned her master’s in computer science from LSU. Always working in software, Aparna came to HCSC over a decade ago as a software developer, and remains enthusiastic about the company, having gained many skills and advanced through managerial roles due to HCSC’s culture of excellence.
Collaborating with her larger team based in Chicago, Aparna is focused on activating new tech and making various teams aware of changes in the technology and applications they’re using. This means meeting with lots of employees and walking them through newly activated technologies as HCSC phases out legacy applications, changing user mindsets and processes.
“We have a lot of groups to promote diversity, like the Asian American Business Resource Group—which I’m part of—that host regular cultural events and get-togethers.”
“As long as you’re adaptable to change and committed to excellence, you’ll succeed here.”
