As part of Kristen’s college program in apparel design, she interned with Hanna Andersson and shadowed the company’s VP of Design. During her first interview, Kristen recalls seeing the children’s mannequins—complete with fake diapers. Kristen enjoyed the idea of designing for children and considering all of their needs.
Kristen’s passion for her job and role in creating moments of happiness for Hanna Andersson’s customers is clear. As a Girl’s Designer, she is responsible for drafting clothing designs, making graphic tee artwork, and communicating with technical design partners and vendors. Kristen also learns about the production process, getting opportunities to visit Peru and see the company’s factories.
