Vladimir started out at the University of Central Florida, studying nursing and radiology, but soon realized that wasn’t the right career path for him. Instead, Vladimir attended California State University, graduating with a computer science degree. As a newly-minted Android developer, Vladimir worked his way up the Bay Area startup food chain until he joined Gigwalk.
Vladimir first interacts in the morning with the Engineering Team, including remote developers in Romania. He then conducts code reviews and intellectual discussions about the latest technology trends and product features. Vladimir also stays up late into the night to inform his international team of status updates and changes to the company’s mobile platforms.
“Gigwalk’s very supportive of my accomplishments and mistakes. I’ve made some really bad mistakes during my time here, but all was forgiven. For candidates, mistakes are part of the learning cycle, so be ready to learn from those experiences.”
“I love the sense of responsibility here. I slowly came in and took over the mobile team. It was great to move up in the company as an Android developer to Senior Software Engineer.”
