In college, Andrew completed a degree in computer science and dabbled in photography. Getty Images picked up a few of his shots, and he officially became a contributor. Eventually, Andrew saw a job opening via social media—and understanding both sides of the business helped him land the job.
Andrew takes on Getty Images’ architectural challenges throughout the iteration process. Some days are driven by high-priority projects or bugs—but Andrew always finds the root of the problem, using that knowledge to make systems faster and more resilient in the future. When he isn’t evaluating new software stacks or shipping code, Andrew teams up with others to plan for future features.
