Brandon intended to teach, but found himself less than passionate about the classroom. So, he got a master’s degree in human resources and organizational learning, then landed a position in HR at Target. After learning to lead and develop employees, Brandon searched for a way to make a difference—and it happened to be as a director at Galileo.
Brandon's role can vary based on season. Fall and winter are generally focused on scouting potential facilities for camp, negotiating program details, and hiring camp directors. Once he’s got host schools lined up, Brandon spends January to May training camp directors, hiring camp staff, and planning their onboarding. During summer, Brandon works closely with his camp directors, ensuring his region meets its goal of providing world-class educational programming for campers.
